Nominations for The Engineers’ Council 2014 Engineering Awards are now open. Nomination forms for the Outstanding Engineering Achievement Merit, Distinguished Engineering Achievement, Distinguished Engineering Educator, Distinguished Engineering Project, John J. Guarrera Engineering Educator of the Year, and William B. Johnson International, Interprofessional Founders Memorial awards are available in the Banquet section.

By unanimous vote, the Engineers’ Council has elected Sonja Domazet to serve as President for the 2013-2014 two-year term. Sonja has been a member of the Board for several years representing the Society of Women Engineers and Northrop Grumman Navigation Systems.

The Council congratulates the Eagle Engineering Team 1138 from Chaminade High School for their Design Award win at the Robodox / SMI VEX Gateway Challenge and wishes them good luck at the 2011-2012 VEX Robotics High School World Championship.
