Society and Company Support Considerations
It is important to organization's support to the Honors & Awards Banquet,
and peer & management participation in order to assist in the recognition
of your nominees, should he or she be selected to receive an award from
The Engineers' Council.
National Engineers Week celebrations are conducted in accordance with The National Engineers Week Foundation guidelines, to occur during the week of George Washington's birthday. George Washington, a land surveyor & our nations first president, is regarded as our nation's first prominent engineer and thus we celebrate National Engineers Week in conjunction with his birthday.
Since 1955, The Engineers' Council has conducted an Honors & Awards Banquet at a major banquet facility, and arranges for the keynote address to be delivered by a prominent speaker. Attendance in recent years has ranged from 610-670 people, and is the largest of its kind nationwide. The upcoming 2012 banquet will be The Engineers' Council 57th Annual Honors & Awards Banquet.
